Description
The Cruiser 45 is the flagship of the mid-size range. The headline features include, predictably, the largest bathing platform in her class — raised and lowered electrically, James Bond style — and twin rudders. With this much beam aft, twin rudders are necessary to keep the steering predictable at the higher heel angles that a single central rudder could only handle with a very deep draft. An added benefit: although this exceptionally robust Lewmar twin system is unlikely ever to give trouble, the rudders can be used independently should the steering fail on one side.
